Wow, we are just flooded with so may options for social media. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Snapchat to name a few. People are in such a rush to show the world who they are and what they are doing that the market for social media has skyrocketed over the last few years.
That has been helped by the rise in apps for these sites. Facebook has two apps associated with it and each one of the others I mentioned also has their own apps. This makes the sharing of personal information all the more easier on the go.
So what do social media sites get out of having free accounts. Wouldn't they make millions of dollars from the exclusivity of their media? They probably would but they also took into account that if their media was free they could make millions of the apps they provided for their users and it also increases the amount of people who would want an account.
